Entry Title: "Grand Turk May 7-13, 2008" Entry: "Part 2- Grand Turk 5/7- Well, it's time to start saying goodbye to Provo...we packed, tidied up our room and had breakfast. We have a noon flight on SkyKing to Grand Turk. It is quite muggy today, and not much breeze. I wanted to go to Blue Hills Artisan Studios before we left, because I don't want something made in China unless I'm visiting China, you know. So we used our last couple of hours to go there and then tool around Blue Hills. The Studio is 'quaint'. The hand-woven baskets and hats are beautiful, very well done, but I just didn't see anything that I would use. There is the funkiest 'found objects' art you've ever seen. The guy has an amazing imagination, but it would never fit into my décor! At any rate, I wanted to buy something, if only to support the crafters, but nothing caught my eye. Anyway, dropped off car at airport, easy as pie, just park and give the key to a guy in the booth. Hade lunch at the airport café, Gilley's. Not bad, and belongers having a good time. Flight was straight forward, on time, with a quick stop over on South Caicos, about 30 minutes total. Fun to look out at all the islands go by.
